Introduction
The website is built in a CMS (Content Management System) called Joomla. Joomla uses a content editor called JCE (Joomla Content Editor) (see below for instructions on editing the website)
Editing an Article on the Website
Simply click the yellow pencil icon to begin editing the content area. See Help - Editor toolbar for information on how to use JCE
Adding a New Article to the website
An article is a new webpage that will appear in a certain area on the website.
- Click Submit Article from the User Menu located on the left hand side of the website
- Fill in the Editor fields as follows :
- Title - This will appear as the main title when someone views your article.

Alias - Leave this blank as it will be populated automatically

Content - Use the main white box with the editing toolbar to create your contnet. See further down for information on all the icons.
- Fill in the Publishing fields as follows :

Category - This defines where your article will appear on the website. As the site is redeveloped the category will begin to reflect the menu strucutre - articles will automatically appear under the relative menu. Please ensure you select a catagory as follows : - Hambleton Content - suitable category (please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Authors Alias - Leave this blank as it will be populated automatically
- Featured - In Development so leave it for now !

Status - Adjsut this to suit your needs :
- Published will make it available to the public
- Unpublished will make it available ONLY to Hambleton Web Editors
- Archived will make it unavailable on the website until the arhive is cleared once every few months
- Trashed will delte the article completley - Remember to delete unwanted articles for good housekeeping and a fast website

Start and Finish Publishing will make an article appear for a specific period of time beofre it is then unpulbished and removed from public view.

Access - defines who can see the article. Public will make the article publically availabe (ie you dont need to login to see it) Registered will make it available only to web editors even when published.

- Metadata makes your article more searchable both in Google and the website itself. The better the description and keywords the higher chance it will be found in search results. Make this information short and to the point.
